The Glory Does Not Fade : Andy's Testimony

I attended nearly all meetings of the Celebration for the Nations in the summer in Llanelli. This was one of the most significant events of my Christian walk so far.

As the week progressed the presence of God increased as we all worshipped the Lord in various languages and styles for hours at a time. This caused us to draw nearer to God and as He promised he said that He would draw nearer to us.

As the anointing increased the gifting and calling upon each individual started to increase and manifest. We were singing to the well and I personally witnessed the river of God flowing out of my life in a new sustained way. Where I had had many words when praying for people, now it was as though the word was flowing straight out of my mouth, touching the hearts of everyone I prayed for, transmitting the Love and heart of God to each one. Never before had I experienced such a release in this.

When praying for a young Korean man of about 19, I was incredibly moved by the prayer he requested. He asked for more of Jesus, for Him to transform his life more and to release him into more fullness. The 600 Koreans in the celebration were full on in revival mode worshipping our Saviour with 100% vigour, displaying the hunger they had for all that God had for them. I thought 'How can I pray for him when he already is moving in the power an anointing in a greater measure than I had witnessed in the last few years?'

Suddenly I felt the Spirit of God rise within me with such a flood of tears of joy and compassion and felt the Heart of God towards him saying 'If any child of God comes to me with a heart like that will I not grant him everything he wants and more and more and more, exceedingly above all that he can ask, think or imagine?' As I spoke this to him I was overcome by the Father's heart and felt how he felt for all of us when we seek him with all of our heart. I wept over him for 20 minutes as the waters of God's love flowed out of my heart. It has been a life changing event in my 23 year Christian walk.

The last thing I felt God saying to me personally in the celebration was that the Lord wanted to do greater things than he had already done and wanted me to press on through to take hold of all that He has taken hold of for me.

The anointing stirred up during the celebration has remained permanent since August when the celebration finished. I have experience a new vitality in prayer and sharpness in giving prophetic personal words. I have been healed of a double kidney infection, which for me was serious since I have only one fully functioning kidney. I have been freed from things that I have thought I'm going to be stuck with for the rest of my Christian life.

I have experienced some of the 'greater works than these will you do' with the Holy Spirit pushing me into greater challenges. I have been so blessed by picking up my guitar after 2 years not playing it at all and worshipping with the celebration team in Llanelli town centre every Saturday. The Lord has been moving out on the streets and it has been so liberating to be part of it.

The Celebration has proved to be the start of the well springing open in the body of Christ and in my personal life, and has proved not to be just another event to fire us up but truly a catalyst to lasting change in the land. Thank you to all who participated in this event from across the globe, it has made lasting changes already and I am sure we are going to se much more of the fruit form this intense prayer and worship time for years to come.
