Dear PN4N prayer partners,

Thank you so much for your faithful prayer for us during Celebration Summer 2008.  It has been a wonderful, worship based time, and the Lord has met us individually and as a group.  

I will write a fuller report in time, but I just wanted to let you know some highlights:

1) Anointed worship leaders enabled us to worship the Lord in Spirit and Truth.

2) Many believers were deeply challenged by the Lord to go deeper into his purposes.  There were times of repentance, times of devotion, even a call for willingness to lay down our lives as martyrs.  One night many stood to say that they were willing to go anywhere and do anything to serve the Lord, including numbers of Welsh young people.

3) Word and teaching flowed with the worship.

4) Local people, particularly young people came into the meetings, because we had invited them during the afternoon evangelism.  Some clearly gave their hearts to the Lord.  Two women locked into heroin addiction made commitments to the Lord.  They need our continued prayer and support.

5) The Open Air evening meeting on 16th July looked threatened because of Council strikes. We prayed and continued to advertise it despite being told that the Park would be locked and there would be no electricity.  The night we arrived, the gates of the Park were wide open, and the electricity was on!  Many young people heard the gospel that night, and the meeting was televised and highlighted on a news programme on S4C, a national Welsh TV station, the following night.

6) There were significant leadings in prayer for North Korea.  In one meeting, a couple who have worked as missionaries in Japan for 13 years, were present.  Someone felt that Korea should repent for the idolatry that was started in Pyongyang in 1938 when church leaders agreed under threat from Japan to worship the sun god.  There was heartfelt repentance.  The missionaries were then asked to come to the front so that Korea could bless and pray for Japan.  In tears, the woman said that Japan did not deserve the prayers of Korea, but desperately needed them. Interestingly this missionary couple have adopted two children who are half Japanese and half Korean. Japan has never had a significant move of God's Spirit.  As we prayed blessings, someone was reading Daniel 9:2.  Suddenly we became aware that it was 70 years since Korea committed that sin, and found ourselves praying that the desolation of North Korea would now come to an end.  It is hard to put into words the sense of destiny we felt in that meeting.

7) There is a strong sense that we should continue the Celebration. We need to keep digging the wells with our songs of worship until there is breakthrough.  Some strongly feel that we should continue for another five years, making seven years in total. The Lord will restore David's fallen tent.  It is a tent of worship.  Out of worship everything else will come.  The PRESENCE of God is the one thing we need.  There was an agreement from the Korean leaders to take much more responsibility for the next Celebration. We also agreed that we will again go back to the Festival Fields under canvas.  We have now rented the Festival Fields from 18th July for a week simply to worship.  We are praying for 1500 worshippers to gather. After that we will do a smaller training time for a week and then send teams out to the nations.  For this to happen we need a key administrator in place with us in Llanelli.  Ideally this person will be fluent in Korean and English.  We have asked the Lord to bring this person by the end of September, or we don't see how we can go forward.  If any of you know such a person, (it could be you) do get in contact!

아래는 이번 2008년 열방부흥축제를 마친 직후, 집회의 주요 리더 중 한 분인 게일 선교사님께서 이번일을 위해 기도로 동역한 분들에게 소개해드리는 간략한 보고와 감사의 글입니다.

PN4N은 내년의 집회일정을 위해서도 기도의 지원을 이어갈 예정입니다. 아마 여러분 중의 일부는 내년 모임에 참가하기 위해 웨일즈에 있게 될 수도 있을 것이라 생각합니다.

이번 2008 열방부흥축제 기간동안 기도로 함께 해주셔서 진실로 감사드립니다.
이번 기간은 경배에 기반한 놀라운 시간들이었고, 주님께서 우리를 개인적으로 또한 단체적으로 만나주셨습니다.

나눌만한 내용들이 많이 있지만, 아래의 몇 가지들을 소개해 드리고 싶습니다.

1. 기름부음받은 예배 인도자들과 함께 우리는 신령과 진정으로 주님을 예배할 수 있었습니다.

2. 많은 신자들이 주님의 목적안으로 더 깊이 들어 갈수 있도록 주님으로부터 깊은 도전을 받았습니다. 회개의 시간, 헌신의 시간들이 있었고, 심지어 우리 삶을 순교의 자리까지 내려놓도록 초청되어졌습니다. 많은 사람들이 주님을 섬기기 위해서 어디로든 가고 무엇이든지 하겠다며 일어섰고, 그 중에는 웨일즈 청년들도 다수가 포함되었습니다.

3. 예배안에 말씀과 가르침이 넘쳤습니다.

4. 지역 주민들 특히 청년들이 모임 안에 들어왔는데, 우리가 오후 전도에서 초청한 결과였습니다. 몇몇 사람들이 분명하게 자신의 마음을 주님께 드렸습니다. 헤로인에 중독된 두 여인이 주님께 자신을 의탁했습니다. 그들은 우리의 지속적인 기도와 지원이 필요합니다.

5. 7월 16일 저녁의 야외집회는 지역의회의 파업으로 어려움에 처한 듯 보였습니다. 우리는 기도했고 계속 이 일을 홍보했습니다. 비록 집회장소가 폐쇄되고 전기가 공급되지 않을 것이라는 통보가 있었지만 말입니다. 집회 당일 밤에 집회 장소였던 공원의 문은 활짝 열렸고, 전기도 들어왔습니다! 많은 청년들이 그날 밤 복음을 들었으며 모임은 S4C (웨일즈 국립TV 채널)에 다음날 밤에 방송되었습니다.

6. 북한을 위한 기도가 있었습니다. 한 모임에는 일본에서 13년간 선교사로 일해온 부부가 참석 했습니다. 몇몇 사람들은 한국이 1938년 평양에서 시작되었던 우상숭배를 회개해야 함을 느꼈습니다. 1938년은 당시 교회 지도자들이 일본의 위협하에 태양신을 숭배하는 일에 동의했던 해입니다. 마음을 찢는 회개가 있었습니다. 선교사 부부는 사람들이 앞으로 나와서 한국이 일본을 위해 기도하고 축복하도록 초청했습니다. 눈물을 흘리면서 여 선교사님은 말했습니다. 일본은 한국으로부터 기도 받을 자격이 없지만 진실로 한국의 기도가 필요하다고 말입니다. 흥미롭게도 이 선교사 부부는 두 명의 자녀를 입양했는데 두 자녀는 모두 한국인과 일본인의 사이에서 태어난 아이들입니다. 일본은 성령님의 놀라운 역사를 경험하지 못했습니다. 우리가 일본을 축복하는 동안 어떤 사람이 다니엘 9장 2절을 읽었습니다. (곧 그 통치 원년에 나 다니엘이 책을 통해 여호와께서 말씀으로 선지자 예레미야에게 알려 주신 그 연수를 깨달았나니 곧 예루살렘의 황폐함이 칠십 년 만에 그치리라 하신 것이니라) 불현듯 우리는 한국이 그 우상숭배의 죄를 범한 이후로 70년이 되었음을 깨달았습니다. 그리고 북한의 황폐함이 이제 끝나가고 있음을 기도하는 자신을 발견하였습니다. 그 모임에서 우리가 느꼈던 하나님의 계시적 영감은 말로 표현하기에는 어렵습니다.

7. 열방부흥축제를 계속해서 이어가야 한다는 강한 느낌이 있습니다. 우리는 부흥의 우물이 넘쳐 흐를 때까지 예배의 노래들로 계속해서 우물을 파야 합니다. 몇몇 사람들은 우리가 앞으로 5년 더 계속 이 일을 해서 총 7년간 계속해야 한다는 강한 느낌을 가집니다. 주님께서 다윗의 무너진 장막을 회복시키실 것입니다. 이것은 예배의 장막입니다. 다음 열방부흥축제 때에는 한국의 인도자들이 더 많은 수고를 할 것에 대한 동의가 있었습니다. 지난해 집회장소 였던 페스티벌 필드에서 천막을 치고 다시 집회를 할 것에 대한 동의가 또한 있었습니다. 우리는 이미 2009년 7월 18일 부터 일주일간 예배하기 위하여 페스티발 필드를 임대한 상태입니다. 1500명의 예배자들이 모이도록 기도하고 있습니다. 이 주 집회 후에 다시 일주일간의 훈련기간을 가지고 팀들을 열방으로 보낼 것입니다. 이 일들을 위해서 우리는 클라네클리에서 우리와 함께 동역할 주요 운영자가 필요합니다. 한국어와 영어에 모두 능숙한 사람이어야 합니다. 우리는 9월말까지 이 일에 합당한 사람을 주시도록 기도하고 있습니다. 혹 주위에 이런 분이 계시다면 (아마 당신일 수도 있겠지요) 연락 주시기 바랍니다.

기도에 다시 한번 감사 드립니다. 참 많은 일들이 있었습니다만 여기의 내용들이 그간의 아름다운 일들을 음미하는데 도움이 되었으면 합니다.
